This site contains a proposed project plan for updating the IGDA Education Curriculum Framework document. The key guidelines for an efficient project plan are: completeness, simplicity, and flexibility.

Completeness means that all the project's processes and tasks have been identified to the best of our ability.

Simplicity means making the project processes and structures as simple as possible. This includes spending time on documents that won't be read or documenting information that will not be used.

Flexibility means recognizing that change is unavoidable and that not every aspect of a project can be foreseen. The project management processes must be flexible enough to easily adapt to new requirements. Simplicity helps accomplish this.

I believe the proposed project plan effectively meets our requirements. It clearly outlines the key tasks necessary to develop the new framework. Additionally, it specifies what each task should produce and where the resulting documents should be stored. This approach not only helps the document creators understand their tasks better but also ensures that the documents are easily retrievable in the future. By using separate documents for each major task, the plan simplifies task tracking and allows for the addition of new tasks or subtasks as needed. Furthermore, the use of a single Gantt chart to depict high-level tasks ensures ease of maintenance and modification.
